Amma
I was inspired to write this post by a close friend of mine, who treated me to a wonderful meal at Amma. I give her credit for the colorful descriptions. “If you haven't been to India, then you haven't lived. But if you go to Amma, it comes pretty darn close. Portions were perfect, any more and it would have been too much.”
Located in midtown Manhattan, Amma caters to the residents of the Turtle Bay area and the business people of a highly corporate area of NYC. The majority of the tallest skyscrapers lie within NYC’s Midtown leading it to be always bustling with tourists, foreign ambassadors, business people, and students. The food portions would suit a business meeting lunch or small get together. It was cosy and the atmosphere warm. Food presentation was beautiful and the dishes were flavorful.
