Patsy's Pizza and the Brooklyn Nets

It felt like a really New York kind of day. Not that it was a normal day, but before the Nets faced off with the Celtics, we needed to grab a quick bite. Instead of the pricey stadium offerings, we opted for the reliable Patsy's Pizza parlor. I've been going to different branches of Patsy's since I was a kid. Dirty and completely wiped from a day on the playground or bundled up after finishing a tough game.

We got half pepperoni and half mushroom. They used fresh portabellos on a thin crust, layered with the usual culprits - marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. My grandmother is known for her  small appetite, but she wolfed down more than one slice of pepperoni. Patsy's must have    done something right.

The game was rough to watch. Even though Jeremy Lin didn't play tonight, it was still a great night with my family. My grandmother didn't completely understand the game, but at the end she aptly noted, "hmm, they were having some trouble putting the ball in the goal."
